Catherine Briers is the Managing Director of Optimal Planning Ltd and has worked in the Financial Services sector for 14 years as an Independent Financial Adviser and in management roles.

Catherine has supervised the work of other advisers and provided training on the syllabus of several Advanced Qualifications. Catherine launched Optimal Planning Ltd to offer an alternative compared to the transactional, commission-based advice model used by other IFA firms.

Catherine enjoys working with both private and commercial clients to help them achieve their financial goals.

Outside interests

Outside her role at Optimal Planning, Catherine undertakes voluntary work as a workplace presenter for the Financial Services Authority (the industry regulator).   This is an exciting project aimed at increasing the financial capability of people in the UK.

Catherine is married with two young children and is involved with charitable and public service work.
